Kobujutsu: Bujinkan Dojo Brisbane

Kobujutsu “old / classical martial techniques” are those Japanese martial traditions that were developed during Japan’s feudal period (pre-1868) for actual use on the battlefield.

We train in a comprehensive martial arts system; utilising striking, throws, joint controls and weapons. In addition, our martial arts have not been modified for sporting competition or fair play - these are the Japanese martial arts in their original form.

The Bujinkan is an organisation formed by Masaaki Hatsumi to propagate the essence of the nine schools of Japanese martial traditions of which he is grandmaster (soke).

Bujinkan Dojo Brisbane has been operating since 1997 in the Brisbane area. Our training philosophy is to carefully and correctly transmit the proper foundations of Bujinkan martial arts, in their purest form possible.

Some of our members at the Bujinkan Hombu in 2015 with Soke Masaaki Hatsumi.
