About Us


Bujinkan Dojo Brisbane is school of Japanese Martial Arts which has been operating in the Brisbane area since 1997. We study Ko-budō 古武道 (“old / classical martial ways”) which are those martial traditions which were developed by and for the samurai and ninja of Japan’s feudal period for actual use on the battlefield.

棒術 Bō-jutsu - Staff / Stick
槍術 Sō-jutsu - Spear
薙刀術 Naginata-jutsu - Glaive / Halberd
十手術 Jutte-jutsu - Truncheon
手裏剣術 Shuriken-jutsu - Throwing Blades / Spikes
隠し武器 Kakushi-buki - Hidden Weapons (knife, chain / rope, improvised weapons, etc)
忍術 Ninjutsu - Shuko (claw), Kunai (digging tool), Kyoketsu-Shoge (hook and rope weapon), etc
