道場訓 Dōjō Kun (Laws of the Dōjō)
- Know that Nintai (endurance/patience) can be found if you take a moment’s pause1.
- Know that the path of humanity is one of justice.
- Renounce the heart of greed, laziness and favouritism.
- Think of sadness and resentment as natural states. Obtain the enlightenment of Fudōshin (the immovable heart).
- Don’t let your heart stray from the path of loyalty and filial piety. Aspire to a deep study of the ways of the literary and martial arts.
Following the five rules above is the law of the Dōjō.
